Many interpretations exist for Old Testament’s Song of Songs. Many view the poem as a love song from God to Jerusalem, while some see in it the love affair between King Solomon and Queen of Shiba (Sheba). A Debke (folk dance) beat introduces the melody, sung first in Arabic by Najwa Gibran. Following in Hebrew, Maya Haddi resonates the ancient sensual love poetry as Najwa Gibran ad-libs about the madness of love in a duet with the Zurna (reed trumpet). An Arab-Hebrew folk dance of co- existence, mutual respect and celebration of love.
